Welcome back! I know it’s been a while since I updated my blog. As some of you know, I’m working on a collection of short horror stories. I’ve completed 4 so far! Quality over quantity is the goal and I do believe I’m bringing something fresh to the genre.
My goal with this collection is to contemporize old horror archetypes and make them more relatable (terrifying) to younger generations. I yearn to recreate the fear I felt reading similar collections as a young adult. Here are some brief descriptions of what I’ve written thus far. Enjoy!
- A young woman sets out on a one-way road trip into the Arctic Circle. After a horrific crash, she finds herself at the mercy of the elements. If the cold doesn’t kill her, something else will…
- Three college friends get bored and search the Internet for disturbing videos. They find a depraved community where mutilation and entertainment go hand in hand.
- Alicia hates her job and her rumor-spewing coworkers. After a terrible day, her demons come alive. Alicia must protect herself in the middle of a dying Rust Belt city as she tries to escape the horror.
- After a traffic accident that leaves a little girl in critical condition, Driver is cursed by a local crone. To complicate things further, he has to help his unit convoy across wartorn Iraq. That’s when the shrine appears…
